Charlotte had businesses committed to using business as a force for good, but lacked the organizational infrastructure needed to turn individual commitment into coordinated community action.

Values-driven businesses operated independently with limited collaboration or shared learning.

Organizations needed local guidance to navigate evolving B Corp standards and certification.

No governance structure or community platform existed to sustain long-term participation and leadership.

Conducted an Impact Capacity Study to identify systemic barriers and define a regional intervention strategy.

Built stakeholder alignment through governance development, community education, partnerships, and leadership coaching.

Established repeatable participation, governance, and engagement practices that enabled the community to transition from an informal network to a formally recognized B Local.
